WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
SAFETY AT DESIGN STAGE
The safe design for the facilities shall be achieved by using the results of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Report and good all industry safety engineering practice as demonstrated by the following Regulations and international codes and standards.
Safety shall be the engineering and design activity aimed at minimizing risk and damage to personnel and equipment during operations throughout the system.
Personal protection shall be provided in the facilities to safeguard personnel from any danger during operation and maintenance.
The engineering design and construction of the plant shall ensure inherent safety by paying attention to the following:
- Plant layout
- Area Classification
- Instrumentation & Control
- Fire and Gas detection
- Equipment design
- Drains
- Control Building requirements
- Escape routes
- Closed locked doors and warnings signs, with panic exit bars
- Fire and Safety Equipment
- Permit to work system
- Personnel protection
- Construction safety procedures
PERSONNEL PROTECTION
In order to meet the requirements for personnel protection, the relevant safety items as applicable shall be provided such as
- Safety footwear
- Protective gloves / clothing
- Eye protection
- Eye wash Units
- First aid kits
- Safety signs.
Safety signs and notices shall be provided as required throughout the site. Warning symbols shall follow internationally recognized standards.
Awareness shall be created to use emergency eye wash units and assisting in escape route planning and fire fighting.
